Celebrate the small businesses in Western CT that give back to our community

It’s National Small Business Week and we are fortunate to have hundreds of small businesses right here in Western Connecticut. They are the backbone of our local economies and in many ways, the heart of our local communities. This past year, we launched Prosperi-Key, a first-of-its kind digital marketplace that connects low- to- moderate income households with discounts, services, and programs to help them financially. Today, countless small businesses have stepped up as leaders, joining United Way in our work to improve the lives of hard-working, income-constrained households by fighting for the health, education, and financial stability of every person.

This week, we hope you’ll join us in thanking the small businesses that support our community. If you have the chance, stop by, and thank them for their partnership with United Way and Prosperi-Key – let them know they are making a difference in the lives of countless households. The past two years haven’t been easy for small businesses, yet despite their struggles, they remain committed to improving our community and supporting our neighbors who need a little extra help. Thank you.

Through Prosperi-Key, small businesses have the unique opportunity to join a community of like-minded leaders and provide a discount to ALICE households. In exchange, businesses connect with the United Way brand, reach new customers, and gain valuable advertisement support. If you or a business you know is interested in learning more about partnering with United Way to join Prosperi-Key, please contact Tessa Coyne at Tessa.coyne@uwwesternct.org
