SUPPORT UNITED WAY BY MAKING A DONATION TODAY
There are more than 40,000 households in Western Connecticut— 1 in 3—struggling to pay for basic necessities, including housing, food, child care, health care, and transportation. That figure includes those living in poverty and the often-overlooked population of hard-working people we call ALICE®: Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.
We all know ALICE. They care for our children in childcare centers and schools, they work in health care with our aging parents, they provide services in retail stores and restaurants. Or they can be retired and living on a fixed income. The one thing they have in common is that they are one emergency away from a financial crisis.
With support from donors like you, United Way can continue to provide ciritical assistance and programs to these hard-working people to ensure that every household in our community is healthy and strong. It takes an entire community to make a difference and we need you. Thank you for your support.
